Job description
The PLM Solution Architect is responsible for defining/designing and guiding the PLM implementation of scalable and MedTech compliant PLM solutions in Team Center. The role ensures that Engineering, Quality, Industrialization, and design verification processes are effectively supported and harmonized. The architect will help in assessing the current Team Center implementation and data flow and contributes to proposing a challenging smart easy to maintain alternative for strategic purposes., * Assess business requirements and support the development of internal Team Center solutions based on defined processes, while ensuring the current Teamcenter implementation remains stable and uncompromised.
- Accountable for the end-to-end integration to and from Teamcenter (SAP, MES, Polarion) and other connected systems, and its definition and documentation.
- Inform and collaborate closely with process owners, solution engineers, and SMEs to maintain a shared understanding of solution scope, interfaces, risks, and Tem Center constraints.
- Ensure that all designed and implemented solutions adhere to best practices, global SHL/PLM principles, governance rules, and compliance expectations relevant to regulated industries.
- Implement approved solution components in Teamcenter, based on validated business definitions and stakeholder agreements, ensuring maintainability and traceability.
- Evaluate complex information, feedback, and system behaviours, and reflect findings into continuous system improvements, harmonized workflows, and reduced user pain points.
- Support alignment across integrated business domains by facilitating communication, clarifying ownership, and managing cross-functional dependencies throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Train team members, SMEs, and users on new or updated PLM functionalities to drive adoption, improve usability, and strengthen overall process maturity.
- Contributing to PLM Solution Architecture, Roadmap and overall PLM Vision
- Accountable for quality of the Teamcenter solution covering end-to-end process with maintainable architecture that support scalability.
- This role requires no traveling.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Management?, Do you have a Master's degree?, The role requires strong problem-solving skills and end-to-end thinking, with the ability to analyze complex as-is situations and translate them into pragmatic, future-oriented solutions aligned with the target best practice. The Solution Architect evaluates constraints, dependencies, and risks holistically while developing clear technical solution outlines collaboratively across the organisation. Open mindset, solution oriented, empathetic, and communicative., * At least 5 years of end-to-end experience as a Teamcenter Solution Architect, covering solution design, configuration, integration understanding, and cross functional collaboration.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, ensuring alignment with process owners, SMEs, solution engineers, and IT counterparts.
- Advanced solution-design and process-modelling skills, enabling the creation of procedural, harmonized solutions based on stakeholder consultation.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Life Sciences or related field
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Requirements
- Strong understanding of end-to-end PLM processes across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations, with the ability to translate process needs into scalable Teamcenter solutions.
- Ability to plan and manage solution work packages within release trains, with awareness of release-delivery processes, dependencies, and validation steps.
- High analytical capability to digest complex technical and process information and derive maintainable system improvements.
- Capable of self-managing workloads while maintaining high efficiency and quality.
- Experience working in regulated industries, with understanding of compliance requirements, traceability expectations, and documentation standards.
- Experience with agile methodologies; certification is a plus.
- German language skills.
