Job description
- Lead a team of 6 engineers in developing and implementing complex embedded software solutions, focusing on SFOC projects for motor controls in power tools.
- Work closely with the Chief Engineer for Embedded Software and other software teams across design centers to enhance platforming initiatives and drive innovation.
- Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, including estimating, monitoring, and ensuring timely delivery of software development tasks.
- Provide technical guidance to team members and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to develop highly complex systems.
- Evaluate and implement secure coding practices and approve design reviews to ensure software quality.
- Develop and execute product and technology strategies to promote advanced technologies and processes, contributing to the company's mission and goals.
- Plan resources, develop personnel, and proactively manage employee health and safety.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software troubleshooting?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in Embedded Software development, with deep knowledge of SFOC implementation in power tools and proven experience leading teams focused on SFOC projects.
- Advanced proficiency in C/C++ and experience with Git.
- Experience with Jira APIs and errata sheets.
- Skills in troubleshooting, applying object-oriented design principles, and a proven track record of fostering innovation and continuous improvement in a technical environment.
- Knowledge of motor control, particularly Sensorless Field Oriented Control, and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to support platforming initiatives.
- Ensure the delivery of secure, high-quality software.
