Avatar Tech Limited is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for the Avatar Pay project, an innovative digital payments platform focused on secure financial transactions, payment processing, digital wallets, and fintech solutions.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex technology projects within banking, payments, fintech, or financial services environments and will play a key role in driving Agile excellence across multiple development teams., Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Coach and mentor development teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum best practices. Remove impediments and ensure smooth delivery of project objectives. Drive continuous improvement and Agile maturity across teams. Monitor sprint progress, velocity, burn-down charts, and delivery metrics. Coordinate cross-functional teams including software development, QA, DevOps, compliance, and business stakeholders. Work closely with senior management to align delivery objectives with business goals. Support regulatory and compliance-driven project requirements within the payments industry. Manage dependencies and risks across multiple workstreams. Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and releases.
Requirements
Minimum 15 years of professional experience in IT project delivery and Agile environments. Minimum 8 years of experience as a Scrum Master. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile certification. Strong experience delivering fintech, banking, payment gateway, digital wallet, or financial technology projects. Extensive experience working with distributed and international teams. Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and DevOps methodologies. Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile management tools. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple Scrum teams simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Electronic Money Institutions (EMI), Payment Service Providers (PSP), or regulated financial institutions. Knowledge of FCA regulations, PSD2, Open Banking, KYC, AML, and payment processing systems. Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Background in software development or technical project management. Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
