Job description

The Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Model Zoo UI/API architects, advances, and sustains the Model Zoo's user interface and API capabilities across all WDP classification levels, enabling AI and machine learning model discovery, access request workflows, and operational deployment activities for the full range of WDP mission stakeholders. This role is central to delivering a resilient, domain-compliant, and operationally effective model-access experience across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS environments.

  • Architects, advances, and sustains Model Zoo user interface and application programming interface capabilities across Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret enclaves to support artificial intelligence and machine learning model discovery, request workflows, and operational deployment activities for Combatant Commands, Joint Staff elements, and Senior Executive Service leaders.
  • Designs scalable interface architectures integrating frontend frameworks, backend services, metadata services, and cross-domain access patterns that operationalize production-ready model availability within War Data Platform (WDP) Core Integration.
  • Implements enclave-specific deployment approaches, system hardening requirements, and functional parity controls to maintain consistent behavior across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS environments.
  • Executes higher-domain release activities, validates runtime compatibility, and resolves domain-specific constraints affecting UI responsiveness, API throughput, model catalog retrieval, or workflow performance.
  • Develops secure integrations with identity and access management systems, audit logging pipelines, Zero Trust-aligned access controls, and operational monitoring tools governing DoW cybersecurity compliance.
  • Leads design reviews, contributes technical leadership, and collaborates with model-serving engineers, pipeline specialists, platform architects, and cybersecurity teams to synchronize UI/API services with model-serving workflows, test and evaluation gates, deployment pipelines, and operational readiness indicators.
  • Produces interface specifications, architecture diagrams, release documentation, and sustainment guides supporting enclave promotion activities and enterprise architecture alignment.
  • Strengthens War Data Platform (WDP) Core Integration mission value by delivering resilient, domain-compliant, and operationally effective model-access capabilities across all security environments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have experience in UI implementation?, * Current Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

  • 10 or more years of experience in full-stack software engineering, with demonstrated proficiency in designing, building, and sustaining both user interface and API-layer capabilities for large-scale enterprise platforms.
  • Holds an active DoW IAT Level II baseline certification, which must be one of the following: CompTIA Security+ CE, CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA Cloud+, Cisco CCNA Security, GIAC GSEC, GIAC GCED, or ISC² SSCP.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining API-driven application architectures that integrate frontend frameworks, backend services, and metadata or catalog systems within cloud-based or hybrid enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and sustaining applications across multiple classified or government-accredited security enclaves, including management of enclave-specific hardening requirements, functional parity controls, and cross-domain access patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate solution.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management).
