Job description

BigBear.ai is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer 3 (ISSO) to join our team on a brand-new contract! In this role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding information systems for a dynamic program and organization. You will help shape and enforce security policies, standards, and methodologies to ensure secure and resilient computer operations. What you will do:

  • Drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge information security strategies.
  • Maintain a strong operational security posture to ensure compliance and protect sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to propose, coordinate, and enforce security policies and best practices.
  • Manage the security aspects of complex information systems and perform hands-on, day-to-day security operations.
  • Develop and update the system security plan and other Cybersecurity documentation.
  • Provide support to senior ISSOs for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Security technology solutions implementations?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI w Poly.

  • Experience:

  • Ten (10) years of combined work-related experience in the fields of IT, cybersecurity, or security authorization.

  • Experience in several of the following areas: o Knowledge of current security tools. o Hardware/software security implementation. o Communication protocols. o Encryption tools and techniques.

  • Familiarity with commercial security products, security authorization techniques, security incident management, and PKI and authorization services.

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or IT Engineering.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, four (4) additional years of work-related experience may be substituted.
  • Certifications: IAM Level I certification.
