Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Linux Engineer to support our current NCIS contract out of Quantico, VA., * The Linux Engineer will maintain, update, and secure existing Linux systems on both classified and unclassified networks in support of Cyber investigations and operations.

  • Candidates will be responsible for optimizing, maintaining, and securing Linux systems to ensure optimum performance with minimal downtime.
  • Candidates may also be asked for creative contributions to improve existing processes and for surge support for various initiatives in areas related to their area of expertise
  • Travel may be required to support operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 4 years of experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.X, 8.X, 9.X with a strong command-line interface (CLI) skillset (additional 2 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree).
  • Experience securing Linux systems with DISA STIG requirements.
  • Experience with Red Hat based tools such as Ansible and Red Hat Satellite.
  • Familiarity with at least one common Scripting language such as Python, Perl, bash, etc
  • Experience with virtualization tools (Vmware, KVM, Proxmox)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with monitoring solutions such as Icinga2 or Nagios Experience and/or willingness to learn DevOps and Automation.
  • Familiarity with the DIACAP and/or RMF accreditation processes, specifically with configuring Linux systems in compliance with the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Experience with maintaining a secure, standard OS build process.
  • Experience installing and managing PostgreSQL.

Security Clearance Required :

  • Must have a current/active Top Secret/SCI.
