Job description

  • FPGA-based systems design, development, testing and integration
  • Design, develop and integrate embedded hardware & software solutions, ensuring compatibility with Inertial sensors and FOG technologies
  • Write and optimize FPGA designs using VHDL
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems, software, and hardware engineering to integrate software and hardware components.
  • Testing and validating systems to meet performance, reliability and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues throughout the design and production phases
  • Document design specifications, testing protocols, and results
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in Embedded systems and FPGA technologies, incorporating best practices into the development process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in Embedded Systems design and development (ideally FPGA-based systems)

WE VALUE

  • Knowledge of hardware design, schematics, and circuit design principles.
  • Familiarity with the development and integration of FPGA-based systems
  • Familiarity with hardware description languages
  • Experience with VHDL for FPGA solutions is ideal.
  • Experience in new product development, early phase and/or R&D projects is of value.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze complex systems.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with inertial sensors, gyroscopes, or related navigation and sensing technologies is a plus., Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

In this role, you will collaborate with a team of engineers and scientists to design, develop and implement embedded FPGA-based hardware solutions that enhance the performance and capabilities of our next-generation Inertial Sensor and Fiber Optic Gyroscope (FOG) technologies. You will work on new product development and R&D programs for our new Resonator Fiber Optic Gyroscope (RFOG) technologies, along with providing ongoing support and enhancements for existing sensing and guidance products.
