Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, flexible, and professional Software Systems Administrator who will play a key role in our technology team. This role will support the migration, deployment, integration, and ongoing operational sustainment of enterprise applications. Activities include migrating applications, deploying new applications and toolchain components, and establishing reliable operational practices for application services. As an individual contributor, this position will work closely with infrastructure, platform, vendor, database, and functional teams to prepare applications, coordinate environment requirements, execute migrations, and sustain production operations. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, adaptability, and a team-first mindset, with the flexibility to step in when critical issues require attention. Hours and on-call needs vary; flexibility is expected as part of the role., * Plan, deploy, configure, and sustain COTS, OSS, and enterprise applications within corporate environments
- Perform dependency analysis, readiness assessments, migration planning, cutover execution, and rollback coordination
- Support application installation, integration, upgrades, patching, environment promotions, and release management
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving application hosting, performance, availability, integrations, and authentication/authorization
- Coordinate with vendors, infrastructure, platform, database, and functional teams to support operational objectives
- Support data migration, storage migration, and environment transition activities
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, including maintenance windows, health monitoring, support documentation, and upgrade planning
- Evaluate and support hosting models such as virtual machines, containers, managed services, and hybrid architectures
- Maintain accurate system documentation, configurations, troubleshooting records, and performance/security/compliance reporting
- Participate in planning and implementation of new systems, upgrades, and migrations while ensuring best practices and compatibility standards
- Provide technical mentorship to junior team members and remain current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and cybersecurity best practices
Work Conditions & Physical
- Office-based with no remote work opportunities
- May require occasional work outside normal business hours to support operations and incident response.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * U.S. Citizenship
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Requires current CompTIA Security+ Certification
- 4+ years of experience with computing administration to include managing Microsoft active directory design, deploy and operational support
- 3+ years of experience deploying, administering, migrating, or operating enterprise applications
- 3+ years of experience supporting Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and/or other developed software applications
- In-depth knowledge and experience with various versions of Windows and Linux Servers
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core services
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities and able to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Strong knowledge of security best practices
- Technically capable and a self-starter with strong organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
- Clear communication, patience, problem-solving, and ability to follow documented processes.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet timelines on deliverables.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team. Willing to collaborate, share ideas openly and learn.
- Demonstrated understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for working in a highly collaborative environment with diverse populations
Preferred Requirements:
- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or technical field and/or IT certifications (i.e.: CompTIA A+, ITIL, Microsoft 365, etc.).
- 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Active certifications in Networking, INFOSEC, etc.
- Experience with Virtualization (AHV, VMWare ESXi, Hyper-V, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Insider Threat and Industrial Security Program requirements.
