Job description

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Virtualization Engineer to support enterprise VMware infrastructure operations, lifecycle management, performance optimization, and virtualization architecture initiatives. The role focuses on VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX-T, VMware Cloud Foundation, automation, and enterprise virtualization platform administration.

  • Strong experience with:
  • VMware vSphere
  • ESXi
  • vCenter
  • vSAN
  • NSX-T
  • VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
  • VMware Aria Suite

Expertise in:

  • PowerShell
  • PowerCLI automation
  • Enterprise compute/storage/network architectures
  • Capacity planning
  • Performance tuning
  • Lifecycle management

Requirements

Do you have experience in vCenter?, * VMware Lifecycle Manager (vLCM) *

  • VMware automation/orchestration
  • Disaster recovery
  • Security hardening
  • Root cause analysis

Preferred Skills

  • Experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Enterprise VMware architecture experience
  • Strong documentation and operational support skills
