Job description
Systems & Network Administration: Install, audit, and maintain secure MS Windows networks (Windows 10, Server 2012/2016). Maintain file servers, firewalls, network access, and internet protocols (IP, TCP, HTTP/S, FTP, SSL). Manage JWICS user accounts.
- Information Assurance & Security: Provide technical security, ISSM/ISSO support, and security monitoring. Assist with COMSEC duties, enforce document/media control, and apply the security accreditation process to the JWICS enterprise.
- Operations & Maintenance: Perform routine troubleshooting, hardware/firmware upgrades, and system configuration changes. Execute scheduled data backups and manage the data backup library (on-site and off-site).
- Customer Support & Mentorship: Interface directly with local customers to rapidly resolve IT anomalies. Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and quality assurance for 96 TW/XP2 team members.
- Process & Acquisition Support: Drive IT security business process improvements. Assist in the acquisition of accessible IT equipment and advise on system security plans, risk analyses, and OPSEC plans.
Requirements
Do you have experience in WAN?, Clearance & Baseline: Must be have or be able to obtain and TS/SCI clearance. Must be able to work dynamically within SCIF environments and effectively interact with DoD, military, civilian, and industry personnel.
- Certifications: Must meet DoD Directive 8570.01-M requirements for Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II.
- Technical Competencies: Strong working knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, data backup processes, COMSEC integration, and AF standard operating systems/hardware.
- Policy Familiarity: Working knowledge of comprehensive DoD/AF security frameworks, including RMF (NIST SP 800-37/39), ICD 502/503, CNSSP 22, DoDI 8500.01, DoD 8140.03-M, and AFMAN 14-403.
- Physical & Travel Needs: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Travel within the organizational geographic area of responsibility may be required.
