Job description

As a Reporting Data Engineer, you will transform complex data into clear, reliable insights that support better decision-making. You work closely with business and technical teams to understand data needs, build efficient data solutions, and ensure information is accurate, accessible, and meaningful. Your role helps drive confidence in data across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and business insights
  • Build and manage data pipelines to collect, transform, and prepare data from multiple sources
  • Design structured data models that enable consistent and easy analysis
  • Create and support analytics-driven reports and interactive dashboards for business users
  • Ensure data is accurate, reliable, and available when needed
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective data and reporting solutions
  • Improve existing data and reporting processes to enhance performance and usability
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data and reporting issues to maintain smooth operations
  • Help define and track key business metrics that support decision-making
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary, * Familiarity with Snowflake for querying and supporting analytics use cases
  • Exposure to data pipeline tools such as Foundry and python for basic data querying, processing and preparation
  • Basic understanding or interest in AI-assisted tools/concepts to support data workflows

How you'll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in business intelligence or data-focused roles, with strong hands-on experience using Power BI, SSIS, and SSRS.
  • 2+ Years of experience with SQL Server, including writing complex queries, joins, stored procedures, and performing basic performance tuning
  • Experience developing and supporting end-to-end BI solutions, including:
  • Designing and maintaining ETL processes using SSIS
  • Building and supporting reports using SSRS (including paginated reports)
  • Creating and managing Power BI dashboards, datasets, and row-level security
  • Good understanding of data modeling, data transformations, and data integration concepts for reporting and analytics
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, including ETL workflows and reporting deliverables with minimal guidance
  • Experience troubleshooting data and reporting issues, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
  • Understanding of data visualization best practices and ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering solutions through iterative development and continuous improvement
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data analytics, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, relevant experience, and/or military experience, * Exposure to SSAS (Tabular models), including working with measures and supporting analytical reporting, * You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Salary Range:

$67,500.00-$100,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
