Test Automation Consultant

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects, * Experience as a QA or QE (Device Testing), telecom domain and in AI and automation

• Experience on QA leadership & strategy:

• Experience of end-to-end QA lifecycle including planning, execution, automation, and release sign-off.
• Drive Go/No-Go decisions using metrics like defect density, automation coverage, and risk assessment.
• Conduct QA review meetings with cross-functional stakeholders (Dev, Product, SMEs).
• Experience as a mentor and guide QA teams on best practices and automation strategies.

• Automation & Engineering:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Appium, Java, and TestNG.
• Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) for continuous testing.
• Enable regression optimization and faster release cycles through automation.

• Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios aligned to business requirements.
• Perform Functional, Regression, UAT, Backend, and Cross-platform testing.
• Validate mobile applications across IOS, Android, and Web platforms.
• Ensure high-quality delivery for cloud-based and enterprise applications.

• Defect Management & Reporting:

• Manage defect lifecycle using tools like Jira, ALM QC, Rally, TFS.
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure proper regression validation.
• Create and present daily/weekly status reports and dashboards.

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams
• Experience war-room discussions for critical defect resolution
• Drive communication across teams for release readiness.

• Technical Skills

• Automation Tools: Appium, TestNG, Jenkins
• Programming: Java, SQL, Shell scripting
• Tools: Jira, ALM QC, Rally, IntelliJ, Android Studio
• Platforms: iOS, Android, Web, Cloud environments
• CI/CD & DevOps integration experience

• Testing Expertise - Experience in:

• Automation testing frameworks
• Mobile and web application testing
• Agile/Scrum methodologies
• SDLC/STLC and Shift-Left testing

• Domain Expertise

• Experience in Telecommunications / E-commerce / Cloud-based applications
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise systems and revenue-critical applications

A collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills. The ability to handle end to end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to implementation. A knack for translating complex requirements into actionable development tasks. A passion for design and hands-on coding experience A proactive approach to testing, troubleshooting, and refining our applications. The ability to work with cross-functional teams and do software integration., * Experience working with CI/CD pipeline integration

• Exposure to data analytics tools (Power BI, SQL Server)
• Knowledge of cross-device and cross-browser testing, * Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
