Job description

This is a flexible position that can be structured as part-time or full-time from day one - we are ready to hire either way, and the structure will depend on who we find.

We are open to building this role around the right person. If you bring strong business development experience, that can be the primary focus. If your strength is in office administration, operations support, and keeping things organized across a busy multi-company environment, there is a meaningful place for that here too. The ideal candidate brings both - but we will not pass on someone excellent in one area to hold out for both.

Full-time candidates will carry a combination of business development for BPD and administrative support across our family of companies, working alongside our Office Manager. Part-time candidates will focus slightly more narrowly based on their strongest skills. Either way, your work will be visible to company leadership and have a real impact on how we operate and grow.

Business Development (BD-focused candidates):

  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities in residential, commercial, and specialty construction across Northern Nevada
  • Build and maintain relationships with developers, property owners, architects, and local business contacts
  • Represent BPD at networking events, industry functions, and community gatherings
  • Keep our opportunity pipeline organized and report activity to leadership
  • Support outreach and positioning efforts for BPD in the Northern Nevada market

Administrative & Operations Support (admin-focused candidates):

  • Provide coordination and administrative support across BPD and sister companies
  • Assist the Office Manager with scheduling, correspondence, document management, and task tracking
  • Help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly across a multi-entity organization
  • Handle communications and follow-ups on behalf of leadership as needed
  • Learn the rhythms of a professional services and construction environment and become a reliable part of the team

Requirements

Do you have experience in Office management?, * A people person and/or a detail person - we want to hear what you do well

  • Organized, self-motivated, and reliable - you follow through without being managed closely
  • Strong communicator in person, on the phone, and in writing
  • Reno-area based with local connections or actively building them
  • Comfortable in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) as well as basic AI.

A plus, but not required:

  • Background in construction, professional services, real estate, architecture, or a related field
  • Familiarity with the Northern Nevada business community
  • Experience in a client-facing, outreach, or office operations role

Benefits & conditions

Compensation & Structure

  • Part-time or full-time - structure depends on the candidate
  • $22-$28/hr depending on experience and role structure
  • Performance incentive available for business development activity
  • Primarily in-person at our 800 W. 2nd Street, Reno office, with flexibility as the role matures
