Job description

Parkland Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Analyst to join its Information Security team. This role is responsible for protecting enterprise systems, identifying cybersecurity threats, and implementing security solutions to safeguard organizational data and infrastructure., * Research and investigate the potential impact of new threats and exploits; perform log analysis and network forensic investigations

  • Identify, design, and execute security projects to enhance detection and response capabilities
  • Collect threat intelligence and automate systems to track adversaries
  • Develop alerting and detection strategies for unusual behavior
  • Conduct network security scans and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities
  • Perform implementation analysis and technical risk assessments
  • Ensure timely delivery of assigned projects and tasks
  • Design, implement, and support information security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPN, antivirus, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and security frameworks
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity trends, tools, and best practices
  • Support project planning, task organization, and timely delivery of quality results
  • Provide guidance to technical staff on proper use of security tools and technologies
  • Perform technical risk assessments and implement corrective actions to safeguard information systems

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree in management information systems?, * Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an information systems security domain
  • Experience in:
  • Mobile device security
  • Endpoint protection
  • Wireless protection
  • Vulnerability management
  • Incident response & mitigation
  • Threat intelligence & cyber analysis
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • NIST
  • HITRUST
  • PCI
  • HIPAA Security Rule
  • Common security frameworks
  • Professional experience in system administration supporting multiple platforms and applications
  • Ability to conduct technical risk assessments and implement corrective actions
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and infrastructure
  • Ability to communicate complex security issues effectively to peers and management
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to research and recommend industry-standard security products and solutions
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze malicious code, mobile code, and antivirus software findings

  • Do you have hands-on experience with Active Directory/GPO, IDS/IPS, VPN, MFA, EDR, and Windows/Linux environments?
