Job description
- Serve as the Boulder Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO), overseeing classified programs in strict accordance with NISPOM regulations
- Ensure all operations adhere to federal policies, DD254 contractual requirements, and program Security Classification Guides (SCG)
- Lead investigations into security violations, implement corrective actions, and maintain liaison with government agencies and external customers
- Act as the primary COMSEC Custodian; managing high-level encryption devices, keying material, and SKL/fill devices
- Provide expert troubleshooting for cryptographic endpoints and coordinate with vendors for equipment repair and disposition of material
- Provide program security support to include but not limited to reviewing and processing required documentation in support of the DoD, SAP and/or SCI nomination processes; prepare and administer program indoctrination and debriefings; access, review and submit clearance/access information using DISS, NISS, JADE, and other information systems to include IC; maintain PERSEC databases in accordance with customer tracking requirements; maintain and operate document control register/database; process and manage incoming and outgoing visit authorizations and visitor control
- Oversee the accreditation and daily operations of Closed Areas, SAPFs, and SCIFs, ensuring compliance with IC Tech Spec 705 and physical security standards
- Manage UL-2050 compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Access Control Systems (ACS), including drafting Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC)
- Maintain accountability of all classified material, managing document control registers, electronic media transfers, and secure destruction programs
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 3 years of professional experience - OR - PhD with 1 year of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Requires an active U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
- Working knowledge of 32 CFR part 117, NSA/CSS 3-16, AFI 33-201v2, and CNSS 4005
- Must already be certified as a COMSEC Custodian and have experience with Government COMSEC manuals, * CDSE - FSO Program Management for Processing Facilities certificate
- Familiar with applicable directives to include DoDM 5205.07 series, ICD 705, DoDM 5105.21 Volumes 1-3, and applicable SAP directives
- Experience with Physical Security requirements and knowledge of ICD-705
- Working knowledge of SAP and SCI programs to provide procedural and policy guidance
- Experience with JADE, DISS, NISS, SIMS, Lenel, SCATTERED CASTLES or similar databases
- Ability to work independently and maintain flexibility when dealing with changing priorities and deadlines
- Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Self-starter with minimal supervision
- Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy in dealing with all levels of employees and customers
- Excellent communication skills speaking, writing skills and organized skills

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
