Job description

The IT Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the organization's information technology operations to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of technology services. This position oversees IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems administration, networking, cloud services, technical support, and technology projects while aligning technology initiatives with organizational objectives. The IT Manager serves as a key resource for maintaining operational continuity, supporting end users, and driving continuous improvement across the organization's technology environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities IT Operations & Infrastructure

  • Manage day-to-day IT operations across multiple organizational locations.
  • Ensure availability, performance, and reliability of enterprise systems, networks, servers, and cloud services.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle management of hardware and software assets.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and implement improvements to support organizational growth and operational needs.
  • Maintain documentation related to systems, networks, processes, and technology standards.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls designed to protect organizational data, systems, and resources.
  • Administer identity and access management processes, including user provisioning, role assignments, and account lifecycle management.
  • Oversee security technologies such as multi-factor authentication, email security, endpoint protection, and network security solutions.
  • Assist with development and enforcement of IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Support compliance requirements and organizational risk management initiatives.

Network & Systems Administration

  • Oversee administration of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, cloud platforms, virtualization environments, and related enterprise technologies.
  • Manage network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPN connectivity, DNS, and DHCP services.
  • Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems are maintained and tested regularly.
  • Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and technology refresh initiatives.

Technical Support & Service Delivery

  • Ensure timely resolution of technical issues affecting employees, students, and organizational operations.
  • Establish and maintain service standards for technical support and customer service.
  • Coordinate support activities and escalations involving infrastructure, software, hardware, and network systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve user experience and operational efficiency through technology.

Project & Vendor Management

  • Plan and manage technology projects, including infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, cybersecurity initiatives, and cloud migrations.
  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and service providers to support organizational technology needs.
  • Participate in budgeting, procurement, contract management, and technology planning activities.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations to leadership.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to IT staff and technical resources.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to understand business requirements and develop technology solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts and project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support organizational strategic goals through effective technology planning and management.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Wireless networking?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

  • Equivalent combination of education and professional experience may be considered.

Experience

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible IT experience.
  • Experience managing enterprise infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud-based services.
  • Experience leading technology projects and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

  • Microsoft 365 and cloud technologies.
