Job description
We are seeking a Senior Systems Architect to support a major U.S. Air Force digital engineering engagement. This role is ideal for someone who can operate across system architecture, integration, and deployment while ensuring solutions are aligned to mission needs and operational realities. You will lead the design and implementation of enterprise systems and data platforms, working closely with program stakeholders, engineers, and end users to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. This role requires both deep technical expertise and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical, mission-ready capabilities. Up to 25% travel may be required., * Translate mission and user requirements into scalable system architectures and technical solutions
- Define and implement system interfaces, data flows, and integration patterns across environments
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical solutions and mission objectives
- Provide technical leadership across the system lifecycle, from design through deployment and sustainment
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring performance, security, and reliability requirements are met
- Support system validation, testing, and performance optimization efforts

Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * US Citizen with an Active Secret Security Clearance
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, system integration, or enterprise architecture
- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience designing and integrating complex, distributed systems or enterprise platforms
- Strong understanding of system architecture, data flows, and interface design
- Experience with systems engineering lifecycle processes (requirements, design, integration, testing, deployment)
- Ability to translate mission needs into technical solutions and system requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience briefing technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong spoken and written English skills, * Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with DoD or U.S. Air Force enterprise systems and environments
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, or similar
- Knowledge of DoDAF or other architecture frameworks
- Experience working in cloud or hybrid environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GovCloud)
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices and modern software delivery pipelines
