Job description

A key member of the Albireo team, the Automation Integrator - EPMS will play a lead technical role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Power Monitoring Expert (PME) environments across data center and critical facility projects.

This position is ideal for someone with strong PME Level 2 expertise, experience managing Windows Server and VMware environments, and a solid understanding of network infrastructure. You'll be responsible for ensuring system reliability, performance, and data accuracy while collaborating closely with project and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

EPMS / PME Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Schneider Electric Power Monitoring Expert (PME) systems, including deployment, upgrades, and patching

  • Perform Level 2 troubleshooting for PME applications, databases, and communication issues

  • Manage PME databases, device mappings, and backups to ensure system integrity

  • Monitor and optimize system performance, data collection, and reporting accuracy

  • Collaborate with project and engineering teams to commission and validate EPMS devices and integrations

  • Support customers and internal teams by diagnosing and resolving system-level issues

Electrical and Instrumentation Responsibilities

  • Engineer, test, and commission electrical and instrumentation systems including meters, SERs, LV and MV breakers, UPS systems, generators, and related equipment

  • Troubleshoot HMI touchscreen workstations located throughout the facility

  • Read and interpret single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical drawings

  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with NFPA 70E and OSHA safety standards

Server and Virtual Infrastructure

  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and domain controllers

  • Support and administer VMware environments, including virtual machine provisioning and performance monitoring

  • Administer the existing disaster recovery (DR) solution using Veeam, ensuring proper backups and data integrity

  • Perform routine maintenance and monitoring to maintain uptime and performance

Networking Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support Cisco switches and related EPMS network infrastructure

  • Troubleshoot communication issues between devices, servers, and meters

  • Assist with VLAN configurations, port assignments, and switch monitoring

Project and Documentation

  • Maintain detailed documentation including network diagrams, BOMs, and configuration records

  • Work closely with project managers, vendors, and contractors to ensure reliable deployments

  • Participate in improving and standardizing work practices

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred)

  • 5+ years of related experience with electrical or EPMS systems

  • Advanced working knowledge of Schneider Electric Power Monitoring Expert (PME) - troubleshooting, database management, and configuration

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, DNS, and Veeam administration

  • Working knowledge of Cisco network equipment and fundamentals (VLANs, IP addressing, routing basics)

  • Ability to use hand tools and operate test equipment

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • SCADA and network configuration/troubleshooting experience

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English)

  • Understands and applies safety procedures

  • Must have a valid driver's license

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting data center or critical facility environments

  • Knowledge of network redundancy, fault tolerance, and system monitoring best practices

  • OSHA 10 certification or NFPA 70E training, Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
