Job description

The ADMET Intelligence group is seeking an experienced full stack developer to support scientific workflow management applications.

What You Will Do

  • Work with laboratory scientists to develop new features and enhance existing functionality for workflow management, including assay request handling, plate definitions, and sample tracking and results analysis

  • Maintain and extend integrations with internal / external APIs

  • Design, implement and test database schema changes, write efficient queries for PostgreSQL

  • Write unit tests, integration tests, and ensure code coverage

  • Demonstrate best practice on code quality, documentation, CI/CD rigor, and architectural best practices, ensuring our research code is robust enough for enterprise production.

  • Serve as a bridge between discovery teams, and IT/Cloud organizations, converting scientific intent into rigorous engineering specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline with 1+ years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated experience building full stack Django applications in Life Sciences, Biotech, or a similar R&D environment

  • Active GitHub profile with public contributions demonstratinge experience in Python.

  • Experince with relational databases (PostgreSQL)

  • Experience with Django ORM, migrations, and model design

  • Experience with Django REST Framework for API development

  • Experience implementing robust CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Familiarity with ADME assays or compound management systems

  • Knowledge of cheminformatics or pharmaceutical research workflows

  • Strong ability to optimize SQL queries and design efficient schemas for high-throughput data.

  • Knowledge of AWS ecosystems (Lambda, S3, Step Functions, DynamoDB) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) in production environments.

Benefits & conditions

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$72,000 - $213,400

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
