BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our team and assist in meeting the needs of our government customer. In this role, you'll work onsite at the assigned customer location, ensuring optimized system performance, security, and reliability. - Manage & Optimize Systems: Oversee the customer's Risk Management Framework and related systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Support System Upgrades: Patch, upgrade, and migrate Linux systems and virtual machines (VMs) to maintain system integrity and performance.
- Contribute to Agile Development: Participate in agile activities, including release planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to incorporate lessons learned into engineering processes.
- Collaborate with Developers: Work closely with developers throughout the application development lifecycle to build features that deliver value to our customers.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vulnerability management?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Experience: Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of systems administration experience.
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly (required).
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency with Linux, including a minimum of 3 years of Linux system administration experience (within the last 3 years).
- Knowledge of physical and virtual servers.
- Experience researching and creating solutions to close Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs).
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation.
- Proven ability to build and maintain VMware environments.
- Certifications: Security+ certification (required).
What we'd like you to have:
- Experience with AWS cloud environments.
- Scripting experience (Python/Perl) for automation and task optimization.
- Familiarity with Docker for containerization.
