Job description

We are seeking a Systems Engineer who can work in a quick-paced, dynamic, agile software development environment. You will collaborate on a team on multiple projects that include automating processing of large forensic images, extracting and enriching metadata, and displaying resulting information in meaningful ways for analysts to conduct assessments.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Virtual Private Clouds?, Demonstrated experience deploying, operating, and maintaining web services within the Sponsor's AWS cloud environment (and other cloud service providers) Demonstrated experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) technologies including AWS Cloud Formation Demonstrated experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code tools; Terraform and CloudFormation Demonstrated experience with AWS services (to include EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch) Demonstrated experience with containerization such as Docker and Podman Demonstrated experience with strong scripting proficiency: Bash and Python Demonstrated experience with database self-hosting including installation, configuration, backup/recovery, high availability, and performance tuning using PostgreSQL and MySQL Demonstrated experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems; Prometheus/Alertmanager and CloudWatch Demonstrated experience integrating and deploying diverse software systems: AWS cloud services, open-source applications, COTS/GOTS products, and custom applications Demonstrated experience with networking, security, IAM policies, and AWS architecture best practices Demonstrated experience with Git-based workflows, branching strategies, and version control best practices , Desired Skills

Demonstrated experience deploying and managing data platform components: Apache Spark, Trino, Apache Ranger, Apache Iceberg, Apache Superset, or data catalogs Demonstrated experience with data lakehouse architectures and supporting infrastructure Demonstrated experience with secrets management solutions such as AWS Secrets Manager or Parameter Store Demonstrated experience with disaster recovery, backup strategies, and continuity planning Demonstrated experience or familiarity with API gateways and modern microservices patterns Demonstrated experience with cost optimization practices in AWS Demonstrated experience or background deploying and supporting AI/ML workloads or model serving infrastructure Demonstrated experience mentoring team members on DevOps and cloud best practices Demonstrated experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB, etc Demonstrated experience with additional monitoring tools such as Grafanaor ELK stack Demonstrating experience integrating Sponsor's Enterprise services Demonstrated experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences Demonstrated experience with Linux Operating Systems Demonstrated experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment Demonstrated experience working effectively in high-performing, cross-functional teams with multiple concurrent projects Demonstrated experience working directly with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand needs, and translate them into technical solutions with minimal oversight Demonstrated experience in self-directed work with a strong ownership mentality and commitment to code quality, testing, and documentation Demonstrated experience context-switching between projects and systems as priorities demand
