Job description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Payload System Engineer (Level 6) for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA., Client is seeking a highly skilled SIGINT Payload System Engineer in El Segundo, CA with extensive experience with SIGINT systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of advanced systems for various airborne and space missions. This role requires a deep understanding of SIGINT sensor technologies, data processing, system operation, mission requirements and SIGINT system architecture.

o Lead the design and development of SIGINT systems, ensuring compliance with mission requirements and specifications o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sensor and data processing systems o Conduct performance analysis and testing of system, including environmental testing and data validation o Develop documentation related to design, testing, and operational procedures o Stay current with advancements in SIGINT systems and recommend improvements to existing systems o Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and management activities o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members

Requirements

o Accredited Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science o Proven experience in the design, integration, and testing of SIGINT systems o Strong understanding of sensor technologies, data acquisition, and data processing techniques o Knowledge of communication systems and data transmission protocols o Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment o Experience with software tools for simulation and modeling of sensor systems o Strong communication skills, both written and verbal o Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools, Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science., Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.
