Job description
We are seeking an experienced POS Implementation Specialist with hands-on knowledge of Toast POS and restaurant technology. This position combines remote and field-based work, supporting restaurant clients throughout the New York City area. Responsibilities include restaurant onboarding, menu configuration, system setup, staff training, go-live support, and post-opening support.
The ideal candidate has experience implementing Toast POS systems and is comfortable working directly with restaurant owners, managers, and staff both remotely and on-site.
Responsibilities

Configure and deploy Toast POS systems for restaurant clients

Build and maintain menus within the Toast backend

Configure modifiers, menu groups, pricing, taxes, discounts, reporting, and permissions

Set up and troubleshoot Kitchen Display Systems (KDS), prep stations, printers, handhelds, kiosks, and terminals

Conduct remote onboarding and implementation sessions via Zoom

Travel to restaurant locations throughout the New York City area for installations, training, and support

Provide staff and management training on Toast POS operations and best practices

Assist with restaurant openings, go-live support, and post-opening support

Troubleshoot POS hardware, software, networking, and peripheral issues

Support third-party integrations and online ordering platforms

Document project progress and maintain implementation records
Requirements
Do you have experience in Zoom?, * Minimum 2 years of hands-on Toast POS implementation experience

Strong knowledge of Toast backend menu configuration

Experience with KDS setup, prep stations, routing, and kitchen workflows
-
Experience onboarding restaurants and supporting new restaurant openings

Ability to train restaurant staff and management teams

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Professional communication and customer service skills

Comfortable conducting Zoom meetings and remote support sessions

Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the New York City area

Ability to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends as project schedules require
Preferred Qualifications

Toast experience
-
Experience with other restaurant POS platforms such as Square, Clover, Aloha, or Revel

Basic networking, Wi-Fi, printer, and payment device troubleshooting experience

Experience supporting multi-location restaurant groups
