Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Administrator with an active Secret security clearance to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing complex database systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance. Your expertise will support critical operations by implementing robust database solutions, performing performance tuning, and ensuring data integrity across multiple platforms. Requirements

Do you have experience in System tuning?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Active Secret Security Clearance

  • 4 Year Degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Database experience of working in different OS platforms like Linux, RHEL and Windows
  • Experience in Oracle/Postgres database administration, support, implantation, configuration and upgrade.
  • Solid understanding of SQL (writing, optimizing queries, normalization and indexing)
  • Experience with backup & recovery (pg_dump, pg_basebackup, PITR)
  • Experience in Oracle/Postgres database performance tuning using explain plans and monitoring tools
  • Working experience of AWS Cloud Services (Cloud Watch Cloud Trail, EC2) and Databases (Oracle, Aurora & Postgres RDS)
  • Strong understanding of postgres schema, user roles, access control and security model.
  • Postgres script writing (PL/pgSQL) with loops, conditions and variables
  • Performance tuning, hardware replacement, firmware upgrades, and patching to all COTS software products, including operating systems.
  • Experience in shell scripting to enhance and update daily monitoring tasks.
