Job description

  • GIS Manager - Pipeline Compliance
  • Responsible for multiple GIS functions supporting regulatory compliance with state regulators, the DOT, and PHMSA
  • Maintain centralized filing system and computer database (MS Access) for electronic drawings
  • Interface with internal (field personnel, engineers, right-of-way agents) and external (contractors) customers.
  • Update gathering maps with new well connects, new piping, replacement of pipe and removal of pipe for regulatory requirements in Louisiana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma and Texas.
  • Perform additional updates to gathering maps as required (will require travel to field locations).
  • Ensure piping, meter and valve connectivity is 100% accurate in order to export piping and meters from ArcMap 10.6.1 to modeling software for running gathering system pipeline models.
  • Prepare detailed maps with production and/or competitor information for Commercial and Business Development groups.
  • Prepare detailed maps (mapbooks, wall maps) of gathering systems data for internal users.
  • Printing of GIS drawings upon request.
  • Understand land grids for different states for the mapping of Contracts and ROWs. (Township, Range, Sections, Lots, Blocks & Abstracts)
  • Understand coordinate systems State Plan vs. Geographic.
  • Understand metes and bounds for the mapping of contracts and ROWs.
  • VBA or python scripting for querying
  • Hire, train, mentor, and develop team members, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative, safe, compliant, and high-performance culture by promoting knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate career development and succession planning through coaching, training, and development programs.
  • Address performance issues using coaching, counseling and, when necessary, progressive discipline procedures
  • Assign tasks, set clear performance expectations, and ensure consistent follow-through on key deliverables.
  • Conduct routine safety audits, site inspections, and compliance checks while coaching teams on regulatory and company standards
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement (CI) initiatives targeting safety, cost, schedule, and process efficiency.
  • Align team goals with company strategy and support strategic initiatives across engineering and construction disciplines
  • Drive innovation by embracing new technologies, methodologies, or industry best practices
  • Manage department or project budgets, approve expenditures, and track cost performance.
  • Allocate manpower and other resources effectively across projects, balancing priorities and optimizing ROI.
  • Lead regular team meetings and communicate company updates, priorities, and expectations.
  • Represent the team or department in cross-functional meetings and with senior leadership.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Productivity software?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * 3 to 5 years experience in Oil & Gas Industry.

  • Experience with the current version of ArcPro.
  • Understand Linear referencing.
  • The ability to work accurately, with interruptions, to meet deadlines. Needs to have good organizational, time management & problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience using ESRI ArcMap 10.6.1, UPDM database and ESRI APR (ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing) experience
  • Must be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office software modules, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be a High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
  • Regular and reliable attendance., * Experience working in a team environment; self starter; ability to work with peers in collaborative efforts.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint for storing job books and linking to GIS.
  • ArcPad 10
  • Experience with Model Builder & Python.
  • AutoCad version 2018 or higher
