Job description
The Digital Connector will deliver services in person or virtually, at one of Empower House's three locations, as well as at partner organization sites. Support will be provided through phone, video calls, email, and in-person sessions depending on participant needs and access. A key focus of this role is advancing digital equity by helping to close the digital divide, ensuring that individuals with limited access, skills, or confidence are supported to fully participate in today's digital world. Through patient, accessible, and culturally responsive assistance, the Digital Connector will empower community members to build essential digital skills and increase their ability to access education, employment, healthcare, and other critical online services., * Receive, return, or initiate contact with community members seeking digital assistance and support.
- Provide one-on-one assistance and coaching to community members to build digital literacy skills and support independent use of technology.
- Develop and facilitate digital skills workshops and trainings, including group sessions at Empower House sites, virtual sessions, and partner organization locations.
- Operate and support computer stations, ensuring community members have guided access to devices, internet, printers, and digital learning resources.
- Coordinate and support device distribution events, including setup, participant engagement, onboarding, and basic troubleshooting.
- Provide support in person at Empower House or partner locations, as well as virtually via phone, video call, or email.
- As needed, conduct in-home or community-based visits to assist with technology setup, training, and access to home internet services.
- Assist community members in identifying and applying for free or affordable home internet services and technology resources, including device acquisition and repair programs.
- Support community members in using internet services and technology to achieve personal goals, and connect them to additional digital literacy resources when appropriate.
- Track all programmatic client services and maintain accurate, timely records using Salesforce and JotForm, including financials, incentives, demographics, and participation data.
- Ensure all client interactions-whether in person, virtual, or by phone-are intentional, well-organized, and aligned with organizational policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn and teach foundational technology concepts related to internet services, devices, and common online platforms and applications.
- Communicate effectively via phone and online platforms, building trust with community members of diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and professionalism when working with clients, coworkers, and partners.
- Provide high-quality customer service, maintain appropriate professional boundaries, and demonstrate flexibility and innovation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all protected personal information.
- Spanish fluency is highly valued for this position.
- Additional training will be provided for all program tools, systems, and related topics.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Cultural competency?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, Empower House is seeking a full-time Digital Connector to provide individualized and group-based support to community members, focused on building confidence and skills in using digital tools and accessing online resources. This role includes coaching in introductory digital literacy and providing technical support to help participants become effective and independent home internet users., * Knowledge of community resources and demonstrated ability to utilize these resources effectively.
- Ability to interpret Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and administrative codes on public benefits.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Ability to maintain documentation in a concise, accurate and timely fashion.
- Attend in-service training, staff meetings and trainings.
- Perform other duties as directed., * High school diploma and/or equivalent - bachelor's degree preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Reliable means of transportation to conduct home visits with clients and travel to partner locations, as needed, to provide program services and support.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Exhibits cultural competence and works with racial justice lens.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience with databases a plus.
