Job description

Technology provides the foundation for everything we do in the company while driving differentiation through building and leveraging innovative technology and data insights., Sr Infrastructure Engineer I collaborates with internal and external teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions, resolves complex technical issues, and ensures optimal system performance while providing strategic guidance to align with business objectives., * Collaborates with multiple cross-functional teams within budget and schedule, ensuring timely issue resolution and maintaining high standards of design, implementation, testing, and compliance

  • Collaborates with application teams to integrate business needs into comprehensive infrastructure solutions, aligning with business objectives and platform roadmap
  • Leads infrastructure design and selection, ensuring solutions meet customer needs and strategic goals
  • Diagnoses and resolves complex infrastructure issues, providing support during outages to ensure minimal disruption
  • Monitors and addresses capacity and availability issues, conducts performance assessments, and supports certification and accreditation processes
  • Leads the efforts towards defining and maintaining processes, documentation, and engineering diagrams for technical and operational support
  • Assists with network automation initiatives
  • Mentors junior Infrastructure Engineers and cross-functional team of colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
  • Partners with 3rd party vendors and carriers to ensure quality delivery and adherence to standards

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in building and supporting Enterprise-scale data networks
  • Expert level knowledge in routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
  • Expert level knowledge in routing, switching, and network technologies such as Spanning Tree, 802.1Q, Port-Channels, 802.1x, QoS, VLANs, and SVIs
  • Expert level IP knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco switching and routing platforms (Catalyst, Nexus, ASR)
  • Strong knowledge of Arista switches
  • SD-WAN technology and platforms
  • IPSec VPN technology and platforms
  • Public cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Data center space provider offerings (Equinix Fabric, Megaport, etc.)
  • Network automation and scripting
  • Packet trace analysis
  • Understanding of security infrastructure, including firewall concepts
  • Ability to work under pressure and efficiently manage workload on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to communicate to all levels of peers, customers, and leadership
  • Ability to function effectively both individually and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of F5 Application delivery controllers helpful, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, and/or comparable experience with enterprise networking technologies
