Job description
- Planning and design of software solutions in the existing COBOL system
- Development and maintenance of software components tailored to requirements (new development, modification, and maintenance of software components, documentation, and deployment of developed software)
- Setup, customization, and administration of the software development environment
- Testing of software components and systems, customization and revision of batch processes
- Quality assurance and documentation, test automation
- Future participation in the nationwide "rvEvolution" project as a developer with a focus on Java and Angular (3+ year perspective) as part of the transition to the new system
- Mentoring students and training IT specialists
Requirements
- Successfully completed degree in computer science or a comparable field of study - alternatively, IT-specific continuing education or several years of professional experience in software development
- Relevant experience in the field and solid prior experience in the COBOL programming language and in software development in general required (knowledge of other programming languages desirable)
- Ideally, prior experience in the banking and insurance sectors
- Willingness to acquire the necessary technical knowledge and familiarize yourself with complex Legacy systems
- Analytical, logical, structured, and conceptual thinking skills
- Strong service orientation toward users and applicants
- Self-organization
- Reliability and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team
