Job description
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in driving and defining the solution architecture strategy for our Group Databricks data hub. This position sits at the intersection of enterprise data strategy and practical execution. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between theoretical architecture and pragmatic, scalable, and efficient implementations. A core focus of this role involves collaborating closely with and independently managing key stakeholders, specifically within Group Finance, to ensure technical data platform solutions align perfectly with critical business needs., Architectural Strategy & Execution: Define and drive the solution architecture strategy for the Databricks platform, translating high-level concepts into practical, high-performing implementations. Data Integration & Ecosystem Mapping: Support major data integration, governance, and optimisation initiatives across a complex enterprise landscape that includes a wide range of data solutions, specifically SAP BW and Anaplan. Stakeholder Management: Act as the trusted architectural partner for Group Finance, managing stakeholder relationships independently to gather requirements and deliver aligned solutions. Governance & Optimisation: Ensure the Databricks hub adheres to robust data governance principles while continuously optimising platform performance and scalability. What We Are Looking For
Requirements
Proven Architecture Experience: Strong background as a Solution Architect within complex, large-scale enterprise environments. Technical Ecosystem Expertise: Deep architectural knowledge of Databricks alongside solid experience working with diverse data solutions such as SAP BW and Anaplan. Pragmatic Approach: A proven ability to deliver real-world, scalable implementations rather than just theoretical designs. Exceptional Communication: Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex business structures and present technical solutions clearly to finance leaders. Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in both written and spoken English and Spanish is essential for daily collaboration.
