Job description
Design and deploy robust AI/ML pipelines, with a specific focus on Generative AI (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to automate complex agronomic interpretations. Lead the architectural transition towards a centralized, high-performance data repository, ensuring seamless data ingestion and normalization from heterogeneous global sources. Collaborate with the Product team to develop "Summarized Data Subsets" and interactive dashboard metrics that enhance our BeCrop portal . Build high-quality, open-source-ready Python tooling, ensuring reproducibility, containerization, and modern CI/CD/MLOps workflows. Implement rigorous data-versioning strategies aligned with ISO ***** standards, ensuring IP protection while enabling data enrichment. Mentor the research team in software engineering best practices and lead the adoption of emerging AI technologies (e.g., Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock).
Requirements
MSc. or BSc. in Computer Science, AI, or a related quantitative field (required) 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with expert-level Python (clean code, design patterns, testing) (required) Proven experience developing and scaling algorithms in cloud environments ( AWS/GCP ) (required). Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex ) and fine-tuning models. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and automated deployment pipelines for ML models. Practical experience in database design (SQL/NoSQL) and managing complex Data Warehouses. While biology knowledge is a plus, a strong curiosity for Agriculture and its environmental impact is essential. Fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written), capable of translating technical AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
