Data Engineer - (Hybrid)

We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Performance Marketing Technology team in Barcelona (Hybrid) to drive the evolution of our marketing data ecosystem. Our mission is to build and operate the high-scale infrastructure required for our AI-driven growth strategies. Working in a fast-paced Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with other Data Engineers, Performance Marketing managers, Product Managers, and Data Scientists to turn complex data into data-driven solutions. Responsibilities Deliver Scalable Data Infrastructures and Tools: Design and develop high-volume pipelines and tools at speed, to support and directly impact the success of the Performance Marketing Team. Drive Technical Roadmap: Help define the long-term technical strategy for the Data Engineering team, build solutions that are modern, maintainable, and aligned with industry trends in Big Data and Cloud. Stakeholder Alignment & Discovery: Navigate diverse perspectives to build technical consensus and uncover opportunities, communicating technical solutions clearly to colleagues in non-technical roles. Drive Business-Centric Analysis: Apply a strong analytical mindset to solve complex pipeline issues, ensuring that every technical solution maximizes business value.

Technical Ownership & Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to build/scale and deliver engineering solutions at speed, staying ahead of Big Data and Cloud infrastructure trends and applying them to complex business challenges. Experience in Complex Data Initiatives: Provide technical guidance and hands-on development for large-scale data initiatives (ETL/ELT & Data Modeling, reverse ETL), delivering strategic improvements that directly impact performance. First Experience with AI: Comfortable leveraging AI coding assistants to enhance code quality and delivery speed. Data Orchestration: Proven experience using data orchestrators such as Airflow and Dagster. Project Delivery: Successfully deliver high-complexity data projects with multiple stakeholders, monitoring progress and mitigating risks in a fast-paced environment. Agile Mindset: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Mentorship & Feedback: Give and receive feedback, conduct code reviews and data model deep dives, mentor team members to improve technical skills. Analytical Mindset: Proactive use of data to validate hypotheses, ensure data quality, and solve intricate problems. Team Player: Collaborate and share skills in a multicultural environment, valuing diverse perspectives. Language Proficiency: Proficient in English for effective communication. Nice to Have Experience with applied AI tools such as Vertex AI or other AI-powered coding assistants. Curiosity and eagerness to explore and integrate emerging AI-driven data solutions. Experimentation mindset: proactive testing of new technologies and frameworks. Adaptability and learning agility: continuously learn and adapt to new AI features and evolving data standards.
