Job description
Veld is seeking a Data & Analytics Intern for four weeks with the opportunity to convert to a full-time graduate role.
The role sits at the intersection of data, analytics, and reporting, with a focus on improving legacy datasets and enhancing the funds' internal tooling. Reporting to the Data & Analytics Manager, the successful candidate will play an integral part in building the firm's data and analytics infrastructure, and automating reporting processes. This role provides the opportunity to work with Veld's front and back-office teams.
Our Data & Analytics team is deliberately small, which means the successful candidate will take on meaningful responsibility from day one, shape decisions that have a lasting impact on our infrastructure and work directly with senior stakeholders. This role therefore requires an individual who is a self-starter, comfortable using their initiative to identify problems, propose solutions with minimal oversight.
Requirements
*A minimum of a 2.1 (or global equivalent) undergraduate degree from a redbrick university in a quantitative subject
*AAA or above in A-Levels (or global equivalent) including A-Level Maths

*Right to work in the UK. For this role we cannot sponsor Visas
*Demonstrable experience with Python or SQL, evidenced through university/personal projects or prior work experience
*Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
*A keen interest in financial services, ideally evidenced through prior experience, research projects, or independent study
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the self-motivation to make the most of an environment with significant autonomy
*Familiarity with Power BI, Azure, Databricks, or other reporting and analytics tools is advantageous but not essential
