Job description
Under the supervision of the Accessible Technology Analyst, this position provides support to students with disabilities in the use of assistive and accessible technologies. Responsibilities include delivering training, troubleshooting technology, assisting with alternative media (eText) services, managing equipment loans, and providing general administrative support. The role also assists in coordinating accessibility services and supporting student engagement with technology-based accommodations., Provide accessible technology training and support by demonstrating, training, and assisting students with the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of assistive and accessible technologies, as well as delivering individual and small group training sessions on accessible software and tools. Respond to student questions and provide appropriate guidance or referrals as needed. Assist in developing and implementing instructional materials in a variety of formats, including online and print, to support the use of accessible technologies. Manage equipment and inventory processes by tracking and coordinating equipment loans such as Smartpens and audio recorders, maintaining accurate records of inventory, loan, and return activity, and performing basic equipment maintenance. Deliver administrative support by scheduling student appointments with the Accessible Technology Analyst, responding to email and phone inquiries, processing general requests, and completing clerical tasks such as scanning, copying, filing, and document management, as well as assisting with communications and follow-up inquiries. Support alternative media and CART services by assisting in the coordination and distribution of electronic and alternative media (eText), supporting conversion projects and workflows, helping with the setup and coordination of remote CART services, and assisting in overseeing and supporting student assistants involved in eText and CART services., * High quality and low-cost medical plans to choose from to fit your family's needs

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to move/lightly lift equipment (e.g., loaner devices)
Work Environment:
- Office setting within the Student Disability Center
- Frequent interaction with students, staff, and technology
- Work may involve managing multiple priorities and interruptions
May be required to:
- Work for extended periods of time in environment of wide temperature variation.
- Work flexible/variable schedule (sometimes in excess of scheduled shift) including occasional overtime, evenings/nights, weekends and holidays, usually on short notice to meet operational needs.
- Work with content interruptions, distractions, and noise.
- Participate in preventive medical programs, including immunizations, medical surveillance.
- Appropriately fit and wear personal protective equipment such as TB masks, googles, face shields, gowns, gloves and safety shoes.
- Participate in medical monitoring programs, including film badges, cholinesterase tests, bioassay tests, tuberculosis test, serum tests, etc.

Special Requirements
- This position is a critical position and may be subject to a background check and drug screen. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background investigation including criminal history, identity checks and drug screen.

Requirements
Do you have experience in User training (technical support)?, * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to provide training and technical support to individuals and small groups
- Ability to explain technical information clearly and provide troubleshooting assistance
- Knowledge of and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive student information, including disability-related records.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to learn and use databases relevant to SDC functions
- Familiarity with assistive technology and accessible software
- Knowledge of student accommodations processes and SDC services
- Understanding of university policies and federal accessibility requirements
