Job description

Develop and maintain the staffing data for Elementary schools. Manage the preparation and distribution of elementary contracts. Assists as PEIMS liaison., 1. Audit, prepare, submit and supervise reconciliation of elementary contracts.

  1. Prepare annual elementary staffing plan under supervision of the Chief Human Resources Officer.
  2. Ensure Board approved elementary staffing plan is maintained and changes/adjustments are made throughout the year. Create or inactivate positions in Munis Position Control as needed due to staffing changes.
  3. Assist in tracking growth units.
  4. Assist in maintaining and revising MUNIS data as needed including budget allocations, budget code updates, and job class master screens.
  5. Maintain elementary campus staffing/assignment sheets; including tracking of all elementary employees on each campus. Ensure all elementary employees are in correct position. Review periodically.
  6. Maintain staffing for TYKE and Deaf Ed Departments.
  7. Responsible for processing elementary staffing recommendations: changes of assignment and transfers for all professionals; including salary calculations/adjustments.
  8. Maintain and track annual recommendation workflow spreadsheet to include all elementary staff changes, transfers and new hires.
  9. Assist with Fall/Spring excess including maintaining DK process to ensure campuses are staffed within guidelines.
  10. Update Aesop code for employee changes.
  11. Responsible for processing all retiree leave reimbursement requests (PARS) and service records for retirees. Calculate reimbursement amounts for retirees and forward to Financial Services and the PARS third party administrator.
  12. Assist with auditing, preparing, and submitting letters of reasonable assurance.
  13. Assist with processing service records for employees exiting end of year. This includes making corrections for those records that did not roll correctly.
  14. Assist with verifying Employee Start/End Dates, First/Last Pay Dates, and contract groups for each school year in Munis.
  15. Create and generate computer reports for personnel staff and other departments/schools as requested.
  16. Assist with the notifications to employees when there is a job reclassification.
  17. Backfill, support and assist Senior Staffing Data/Analyst.
  18. As requested, assist the Sr. Staffing/Data Analyst with PEIMS reporting.
  19. Import and/or make corrections to TSDS for employee changes.
  20. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

College hours, high school diploma or GED

Work experience, preferably in public education

Possess effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Initiative and good judgment in working with employees and administrators

Expertise with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and use of calculator

Ability to work within deadlines and handle interruptions

Detail oriented

Strong self-starter

Payroll or salary experience

Work with confidential material
