The Talent Development Manager is responsible for leading and developing our team to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes across MGP's managed services model.
This role is fully focused on people leadership, owning performance management, career development, team engagement, and workforce alignment for our team of technology professionals.
The role operates in close partnership with leadership to ensure:
- Clear expectations

- Lead, coach, and develop a team of technical resources
- Own the performance management process
- Consistent check-ins
- Quarterly performance reviews
- Ongoing and immediate feedback and coaching
- Set and reinforce clear expectations for performance and behavior
- Address performance issues with clarity, consistency, and action plans
- Partner with technical leads to ensure feedback reflects actual work quality
Career Development & Growth
- Own career development for all assigned staff
- Create and maintain individual development plans
- Identify skill gaps and progression pathways
- Provide coaching, stretch opportunities, and growth plans
- Ensure employees understand: what is expected, how they are performing, what's required to grow
Team Alignment & Operational Consistency
- Drive consistency in how staff operate across clients and projects
- Reinforce adherence to standards, processes, and expectations
- Ensure clear communication across the team
- Align team behaviors with MGP's service delivery model
Culture & Engagement
- Build a high-performing, accountable, and supportive team culture
- Reinforce core values through daily demonstrated leadership
- Promote open, direct, and constructive communication
- Recognize performance and reinforce positive behaviors
Staff Oversight & Workforce Management
- Collaborate with team members to understand and address performance and skill gaps
- Partner with leadership to ensure optimal allocation of resources
- Adjust assignments based on workload, performance, and development needs
- Ensure structured onboarding for new hires

- 3-7 years of experience in a similar role, or in a position with comparable responsibilities
