Job description
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization's information technology infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity practices, and end-user support operations. This position manages day-to-day IT functions including cloud platforms, network administration, hardware and software support, system access management, vendor coordination, and technology asset oversight to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient business operations across the company., The role supports organizational objectives by implementing IT policies and best practices, maintaining system performance and security standards, supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, and assisting with technology planning and operational improvements. The IT Manager collaborates across departments to provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure technology solutions effectively support RD's operational and mission requirements., * Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and cloud-based platforms.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees and leadership.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, access controls, and cybersecurity measures.
- Oversee hardware and software deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and inventory management.
- Monitor system performance, backups, security updates, and business continuity processes.
- Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities related to technology access and equipment.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and technology partners.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and data protection requirements.
- Support operational efficiency through technology improvements, process optimization, and system enhancements.
- Maintain documentation related to IT systems, configurations, procedures, and assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational initiatives and operational objectives.
- Create, issue, and manage employee identification badges, facility access credentials, and door access permissions for new hires, existing employees, and departing personnel.
- Maintain and monitor badge access systems to ensure appropriate physical security and authorized facility access.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business development and organizational objectives.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vendor relationship building?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support users at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong customer service orientation and commitment to providing timely technical support.
- Ability to develop, document, and maintain IT procedures, standards, and operational processes.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and system access issues.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, system security, and data protection principles.
- Ability to adapt to changing technology needs and organizational priorities., * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in IT administration, infrastructure management, or technical support roles.
- Experience supporting cloud-based environments, Microsoft 365 administration, and endpoint management.
- Experience with network administration, system maintenance, software deployment, and technology asset management.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, access management, backup systems, and business continuity practices.
- Experience managing IT vendors, service providers, and software licensing agreements preferred.
- Relevant technical certifications are preferred but not required.
