Job description

Kforce has a client in Orlando, FL that is seeking an Application Engineer Release Management., * Manage end-to-end release processes, including planning, coordination, and execution of application and infrastructure changes

  • Create, maintain, and close change records within ServiceNow, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards
  • Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, release planning sessions, and team standups
  • Monitor the forward schedule of changes to identify conflicts, dependencies, and risks
  • Assess release readiness by reviewing CI/CD pipeline outputs, regression testing results, and security scans
  • Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with deployments to ensure stability of production environments
  • Partner with engineering, DevOps, and ITSM teams to ensure smooth release execution
  • Facilitate communication across teams to align on release scope, timing, and risks
  • Lead post-deployment reviews, capturing lessons learned and driving continuous improvement
  • Provide recommendations to enhance release processes using KPIs and performance metrics
  • Identify opportunities to optimize release management processes and tools
  • Develop and track KPIs related to release quality, risk, and performance
  • Analyze trends in release outcomes to recommend corrective actions and process enhancements
  • Support implementation of scalable, repeatable release management best practices
  • Stay current on industry trends related to Service Management, DevOps, and release engineering
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development initiatives
  • Promote a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • 5+ years of professional experience in IT Service Management, application development, or production support
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Change and Release Management
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Familiarity with CAB processes and enterprise change governance frameworks
  • Solid knowledge of software development and project lifecycle methodologies
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to evaluate complex technical requirements and documentation
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments is highly preferred
  • Exposure to release governance in regulated or highly structured environments is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
