A growing organization in the healthcare and technology space is hiring an Associate IAM & Information Security Engineer for a full-time opportunity based in Irving, TX. This is a hybrid position requiring three days onsite per week and will focus heavily on Identity and Access Management technologies including Okta, Azure AD, AWS IAM, and ServiceNow., This opportunity is ideal for a junior IAM engineer looking to build real-world experience across identity lifecycle management while working closely with a highly collaborative and experienced team. The group is actively rolling out new tools, including privileged access management, and is deeply involved in integrations with HR systems and broader security initiatives. This role offers strong mentorship, exposure to hands-on projects, and clear growth potential, including support for Okta certifications and long-term development within IAM engineering., Tech Breakdown
- 40% Okta and Identity Provider tools
- 20% ServiceNow and ticket-based provisioning
- 20% Automation using APIs, PowerShell, and Python
- 20% Cloud and directory services including Azure AD and AWS IAM
Daily Responsibilities
- 70% Hands on IAM tasks including tickets, provisioning, and integrations
- 10% Process improvement and documentation
- 20% Team collaboration across engineering, HR, and security teams
Requirements
- 1+ year of hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management
- Experience working with Okta or a similar identity provider
- Understanding of joiner, mover, leaver processes and identity lifecycle management
- Experience handling access requests, provisioning, and deprovisioning
- Familiarity with IAM protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, or SCIM
- Experience working in a ticketing system such as ServiceNow or similar tools
- Basic scripting or automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or similar
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with Okta features such as SSO, MFA, and lifecycle management
- Exposure to identity governance, access certifications, or audit processes
- Experience working with APIs and integrating applications into IAM systems
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure AD and AWS IAM
- Experience working with HR systems, with Workday preferred
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, SOX, HIPAA, or GDPR
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information systems, or a related field preferred
- Interest in obtaining IAM or Okta certifications
