Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright.
  • Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Develop and maintain test data, test environments, and test execution reports.
  • Perform API testing and automation where required.
  • Ensure test coverage, test reliability, and maintainability of automation assets.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to automation best practices.

Requirements

  • 5 10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright automation.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Experience in designing automation frameworks from scratch.

Hands-on experience with:

  • Playwright
  • Selenium (preferred)
  • REST API testing
  • Git/GitHub/GitLab
  • Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.
  • Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
  • Experience in testing microservices and cloud-based applications.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter.
  • Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes environments.
  • Experience working in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform environments.
