Staff Software Engineer, FoodStorm

• Contribute to rearchitecting the FoodStorm platform for scalability and maintainability using a service-oriented approach.
• Develop software solutions to integrate FoodStorm with company systems.
• Perform hands-on coding, technical problem-solving, and system optimization.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to align technical strategy and implementation.
• Coordinate with the Australia-based engineering team during overlapping work hours.
• Provide technical mentorship to peers and promote continuous learning.
• Implement best practices to improve team efficiency and system performance.

• Over 10 years of experience designing and maintaining scalable systems and distributed architectures.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
• Strong backend development and system integration skills.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems collaboratively.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, including experience working across time zones.
• Strong ownership and accountability for delivering quality results.
• Preferred: Familiarity with .NET Core, SOA patterns, API integrations, system modernization projects, front-end web development, and knowledge of grocery retail or catering technologies.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The base pay range varies by location within the US, for example:
• CA, NY, CT, NJ: $265,000 to $279,000 USD
• WA: $254,000 to $268,000 USD
• OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $243,000 to $257,000 USD
• All other states: $216,000 to $240,000 USD
• Compensation offers depend on experience and skills.
• Eligible for new hire equity grants and annual refresh grants.
