Job description

The Infrastructure Engineer is a dynamic, execution-focused professional responsible for driving, optimizing, and maintaining foundational IT infrastructure across the business. Your primary focus will be The Blender, our manufacturing plant in Rotterdam.

This is an execution-focused, third-line role. You'll be the technical expert on the ground, owning day-to-day infrastructure operations, leading incident response at tier 3 level, and driving deployments with confidence and precision. You will be based out of the The Blender site.

This is not a traditional, siloed infrastructure support role. We are looking for a proactive technical catalyst who actively interfaces with all levels of the organization. While you will not lead the automation function, you will work closely alongside the automation team to make operations seamless, improve day-to-day efficiencies, and proactively mitigate infrastructure risks to minimize plant downtime. You will collaborate cross-functionally to identify local infrastructure opportunities, suggest modern improvements, and confidently get things done on the ground., * Your primary focus will be supporting The Blender, our Innocent manufacturing plant in Rotterdam. Ensuring the technology that keeps production running is stable, secure, and fit for the future.

  • Act as the internal subject matter expert for IT infrastructure at The Blender, partnering closely with on-site operational teams (Automation, Engineering & Deskside Support teams) and the broader business.
  • Proactively monitor, maintain, and optimize the plant's core IT infrastructure to prevent technical bottlenecks and drastically minimize manufacturing downtime.
  • Work in lockstep with the on-site automation and manufacturing OT leadership to streamline infrastructure workflows, making day-to-day operations easier and more reliable for the production teams.
  • Leverage your deployment experience to deliver changes clearly and confidently, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Communicate effortlessly across all organizational levels-from collaborating daily with plant floor engineers to aligning with external vendors and corporate IT managers.
  • Contribute to infrastructure roadmaps that support Innocent's growth ambitions - starting at The Blender, with visibility across the wider estate.
  • Lead the IT infrastructure response and root-cause analysis when complex, plant-impacting technical issues do arise, driving rapid resolution with precision., * Innovation: We embrace a culture of experimentation and innovation, providing you the opportunity to contribute to new, different, or better ways of doing things.
  • Agile Work Environment: We embrace agile with management that believes in removing barriers, so you are empowered to experiment, iterate, and innovate.
  • Industry Leaders: Collaborate with leaders in the industry. Our team is composed of professionals who are experts in their fields, providing an environment where you can learn, grow, and make a significant impact.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a hands-on infrastructure role, ideally with exposure to manufacturing or operational technology (OT) environments.
  • Windows Server and VMware administration expertise.
  • Strong networking foundations - VLANs, IP addressing, firewalls, switch management, Wi-Fi monitoring and configuration and ideally some exposure to OT/ICS network segmentation.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure & Entra Administration, multi-site, on-premises infrastructure deployments.
  • A track record of managing third-party vendor relationships effectively.
  • Sharp troubleshooting & component isolation skills, paired with structured documenting and reporting discipline
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts into plain language for non-technical stakeholders., Communication, Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Engineering, IT Infrastructure Support, Microsoft Azure Administration, Microsoft Server Administration, Network Configurations, Technical Troubleshooting, VMware Administration
