Job description
We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and support secure, scalable cloud platforms across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
This is a hands-on senior engineering role focused on infrastructure, automation, identity, and platform improvement. You will help modernise legacy services, deliver resilient cloud solutions, and work closely with technical and non-technical teams to support business change.
What you will be doing

Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments

Deliver secure, scalable, and resilient platform solutions aligned to business and technical needs

Improve and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines

Support cloud migrations, platform upgrades, and the transition away from legacy infrastructure

Work closely with security, networking, and delivery teams to maintain reliable and compliant services

Provide technical guidance and act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues

Identify opportunities to use AI tools and automation to improve operational efficiency, monitoring, and service delivery across the cloud estate

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or systems engineering

Good working knowledge of Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments

Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation tooling, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines

Understanding of identity, security, governance, and operational best practice in cloud environments

Experience supporting migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure change in complex environments

Ability to work with a range of stakeholders and communicate technical issues clearly

Awareness of emerging AI and LLM technologies, with the ability to assess where they can add value in infrastructure operations and engineering workflows

Other qualifications

A degree in IT, computer science, infrastructure engineering, or a related field would be useful, but is not essential

Relevant certifications in Azure, AWS, Microsoft, Terraform, or security would be an advantage

Experience working in complex, changing environments with a strong focus on delivery and continuous improvement is desirable
