Job description
- This is a blended junior position supporting NiFi engineering, customer onboarding, health and status monitoring, and operational coordination.
- Support the NiFi team by learning Apache NiFi concepts, monitoring dataflows, reviewing processor status, checking queues, identifying errors, and assisting with basic troubleshooting.
- Serve as a focal point for health and status flows by tracking dataflow availability, monitoring system status, identifying failed or degraded flows, and escalating issues to the appropriate technical teams.
- Assist with onboarding new customer systems by tracking requirements, data sources, connection details, action items, blockers, schedules, and completion milestones.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams to gather onboarding information, provide status updates, document progress, and follow up on open items through completion.
- Maintain organized onboarding trackers, status reports, documentation, and runbooks to ensure leadership, customers, and technical teams have clear visibility into progress.
- Support basic dataflow validation by confirming that customer data is being received, processed, routed, and delivered as expected.
Requirements
Required:
- Prospective candidates must have proficiency in one or more of the following skillsets / technologies:
- Apache NiFi / Dataflow Support: Basic understanding of Apache NiFi or willingness to learn NiFi dataflows, processors, queues, controller services, bulletins, and flow monitoring.
- Customer Onboarding / Coordination: Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to track multiple customers, requirements, action items, blockers, and milestones.
- Health and Status Monitoring: Experience or familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, CloudWatch, NiFi dashboards, or similar operational status tools.
- Technical Support: Basic Linux familiarity, strong technical aptitude, and willingness to learn application support, data engineering, cloud operations, and production troubleshooting.
Education and Experience:
All experience and education will be in a technical field directly related to the labor category being proposed and all diplomas, GED certificates, and degrees will be from accredited institutions.
- 10 years minimum experience and a High School Diploma/GED.
- 8 years minimum experience and an Associate's Degree.
- 6 years minimum experience and a Bachelor's Degree.
- 4 years minimum experience and a Master's Degree.
- 2 years minimum experience and a Doctorate's Degree.
Desired:
- Prior exposure to Apache NiFi, Cribl, Kafka, Logstash, or similar dataflow / pipeline tools.
- Experience supporting customer onboarding, system integration, ticket tracking, help desk, or production support operations.
- Familiarity with AWS, EC2, S3, SQS, CloudWatch, Python, Bash, Groovy, or similar technical tools.

The proposed salary range for this position is: $86,600 - $181,800
