Job description
We are seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer to design, implement, and validate high-performance digital systems. The role focuses on developing RTL using Hardware Description Languages (HDL), targeting FPGA devices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable hardware and firmware solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on FPGA experience and a solid understanding of digital design, verification, and board-level integration., * Develop and maintain synthesizable RTL using HDL for FPGA implementations.
- Implement FPGA designs, constraints, and timing closure for production-grade devices.
- Collaborate with system architects and firmware engineers to define interfaces and ensure correct integration.
- Perform functional verification, simulation, and lab bring-up of FPGA designs.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, SignalTap/embedded logic analyzers and other lab equipment.
- Implement and verify high-speed interfaces including PCIe, Ethernet, SerDes and multi-clock CDC domains.
- Work with PCB and SoC teams to validate signal integrity, power sequencing, and hardware/firmware interactions.
- Optimize resource utilization, performance, and power for FPGA-based designs.
- Produce clear design documentation, test plans, and handoff materials for production.
- Support production bring-up, customer debugging, and post-release maintenance as needed.
Requirements
Do you have experience in FPGA circuit design?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience with HDL and FPGA development (required).
- Strong knowledge of digital design principles, timing analysis, and synthesis flows.
- Hands-on experience with Xilinx or AMD FPGAs and associated toolchains (nice to have).
- Proficiency in Verilog and/or VHDL (nice to have).
- Experience with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, and SerDes (nice to have).
- Experience with clock domain crossing (CDC) design and multi-clock systems (nice to have).
- Familiarity with lab debugging tools: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, SignalTap or equivalent (nice to have).
- Understanding of PCB considerations, signal integrity, and SoC integration (nice to have).
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
