Hybrid/Local MI Govt AWS/Google Cloud Platform Engineer/Architect

Hybrid/Local MI Govt AWS/Google Cloud Platform Engineer/Architect (15+/AWS CCPCDL) with DevOps, web services, automation/scripting, APIs, CI/CD, Linux, NIST/CIS/PCI, VMware/Cisco/Dell/Nutanix experience, Assist senior cloud architects with the design and deployment of cloud solutions across the State of Michigan AWS, and Google Cloud Platform environments. Support the build-out of multi-cloud environments, including public, private, and hybrid cloud models. Help maintain and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure components. Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines. Assist with infrastructure provisioning and configuration using automation tools. Participate in integrating cloud pipelines with existing DevOps systems. Document architecture decisions, pipeline configurations, and deployment procedures. Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and training activities. Maintain clear and organized technical documentation for onboarding and future reference. Support adherence to cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, PCI, etc.). Assist in implementing secure configurations and monitoring controls. Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into cloud requirements. Participate in discussions with vendors, product specialists, and internal teams to evaluate technologies. Support enterprise architecture reviews and solution assessments. Assist with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization of cloud workloads. Help design and test workload migrations and disaster recovery scenarios. Support integration of cloud services with on-premises technologies (VMware, Cisco, Dell, Nutanix, etc.). Leverage State of Michigan Institutional knowledge to cloud engineering projects.

Highly Desirable Solid understanding and skill with DevOps, web services and application programming interfaces (APIs).1-3 years Create, maintain, and troubleshooting skills for cloud infrastructure Highly Desirable Foundational institutional knowledge of State of Michigan platforms, cloud architecture, security requirements and processes. 1-3 years Cloud security and compliance experience, Google Cloud Certified Cloud Digital Leader AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Highly Desirable Clear and concise written and verbal communication is crucial to success and productivity in this role.

Duration: 12 Months Hybrid: Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. (Tuesdays and Wednesdays are required onsite days). Local candidates (strongly preferred) or non-local (must be willing to relocate at their own expense from acceptance with no delays & follow the hybrid schedule).
