Job description

Fincantieri Marine Group (FMG) is looking for a Data Architecture & ETL who will manage and analyze complex data sets across multiple ERP systems to support business operations and decision-making. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, develop and maintain data models, and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security. Essential Skills & Functions

  • Design and maintain data warehouse data models, data flows, and data dictionaries to support business operations and analytics.
  • Identify and analyze data requirements, sources, quality, and integrity, and provide recommendations for data management and improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements, reports, and dashboards.
  • Develop and support requisite ETL flows, pipelining data into the Data Warehouse.
  • Define and develop integration flows for SAP implementation.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security, and comply with data governance practices and policies.
  • Build data sets to be consumed by Power BI and Data Analysts.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and consultants, and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Mentor junior team members through project delivery, support, and customer service.
  • Maintain strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, time-management, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor.
  • Adhere to ISO and OHSAS policies and uphold high safety values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Frequent sitting with occasional standing or walking; use of hands to handle materials or equipment; reaching, stooping, kneeling, speaking, and hearing. Occasionally lift or move up to 15 pounds. The workspace is a temperate, climate-controlled environment with minimal exposure to moving equipment or extreme conditions. Noise levels are usually quiet. Areas outside the shipyard may lack climate control and involve exposure to moving equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Five years of data analysis experience with expertise in SQL, Power BI, and SSIS.
