Collins Aerospace is currently in search of a GEOINT Technical Field Support Specialist. The position is based at Fort Meade, MD. The person selected will provide software maintenance support and Linux Systems administration for systems at DMS-MD at Fort Meade, MD. This position will interface daily with users, co-contractors, and customer organizations to troubleshoot and correct problems, analyze performance, and make recommendations on improvements., * Responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Linux infrastructure for classified programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, server management (software and hardware); storage management (logical and physical); cross platform authentication and access management; data backup and restoration; software and license configuration; and workstation support
- Implement and maintain an enterprise Linux environment including system administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting
- Administer, patch, and harden Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and related distributions
- Configure and maintain STIG-compliant systems in accordance with DoD security standards
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across physical and virtualized environments (RHEL KVM)
- Automate system tasks using Ansible and Bash shell scripting
- Install and configure software applications requested by end users
- Working directly in a customer service environment, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery
- Manage and maintain servers, operating systems, network connectivity, and networking hardware such as routers and switches
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Python and Java for complex systems and applications
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for performance and efficiency in complex environments
- Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

Requirements
- Active and transferable U.S government issued TS/SCI with CI Polygraph U.S. security clearance is required prior to start date.
- Current DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II or IAM Level I certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, CAP, etc.)
- Previous experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Administration.

3 years of Linux Systems Administration experience
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience, * Experience with Linux architecture, deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting
- Experience with DHCP, DNS, LDAP, IPA, CIFS, NFS, Samba and *NIX system security
- Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity products like Symantec NetBackup
- Experience with security infrastructure products and capabilities (e.g. Antivirus)
- Experience gathering requirements, designing, and implementing appropriate solutions
- Experience with application installation and multi-server environment/deployment Experience with an IT incident/service request system
- Experience with HP server hardware support and diagnosis
- Experience with hardware and peripheral components in an on-site environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows 10/ Server 2016 system administration.
- Experience with SW development methods (shell scripts, JavaScript, Python, PHP, Java, XML, HTML, etc.) in a Linux environment
- Familiarity with x86-based server HW
- Experience with ACAS/Tenable tools
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containers

- And more!, The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
