Job description
You will act as an operational technical reference point, with a gradual progression toward a Solution Architect position.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and oversee integration of IWMS solutions (e.g. ARCHIBUS) within client environments.
- Define technical architecture for hosted, on-premise, and hybrid platforms.
- Act as technical consultant for internal products and client implementations.
- Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and solution designs.
- Lead integration strategy (APIs, ETL, messaging, SSO, data flows).
- Ensure secure, scalable system communication (OAuth2/OIDC/SAML, webhooks, streaming).
- Design and govern API and integration architectures, including gateway policies and performance.
- Define and optimize application/server architectures (Tomcat, WebLogic, IIS, Nginx, etc.).
- Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and scalability issues across applications and infrastructure.
- Lead ETL and data pipeline design (data mapping, validation, scheduling, error handling).
- Implement and oversee messaging/event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ).
- Define CI/CD and deployment standards, including automation and release strategies.
- Ensure environment consistency across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid setups; produce operational runbooks.
- Facilitate technical workshops and translate requirements into robust solution designs.
- Present architecture options with trade-offs (cost, performance, security, scalability).
- Mentor engineering teams, enforce best practices, and reduce delivery risks (PoCs, spikes).
- Collaborate with clients to validate solutions and incorporate feedback.
- Establish coding standards, review processes, and engineering governance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software architecture and complex system integration
- Tech Lead responsibilities: Delegation, and coordination of developers
- Strong expertise in development technologies and infrastructure (CI/CD, databases, storage, proxies, load balancers, IAM, ETL, application servers, etc.)
- Enterprise integration experience: APIs (REST/SOAP), gateways, middleware, and data exchange systems
- Strong troubleshooting and production performance optimization skills
- Ability to analyze business processes and design aligned technical solutions
- Experience facilitating technical workshops and documenting decisions (ADRs, trade-offs)

- Identity & Security: OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML; Azure AD/Entra, Okta, Keycloak, ADFS, Ping
- (JIT/SCIM provisioning, roles, tokens, certificates)
- Infrastructure & Application Servers: Tomcat, WebLogic/WebSphere, WildFly, IIS, Apache, Nginx
- (SSL/TLS, mTLS, tuning, logging/APM, performance optimization)
- API Management: Apigee, Kong, Azure API Management, AWS API Gateway
- (OAuth flows, scopes, rate limiting, mTLS, client credentials)
- Data & ETL: Talend, Informatica, Pentaho, Azure Data Factory
- (pipelines, validation, idempotency, retries, scheduling)
- Messaging/Eventing: Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ (retry, DLQ, outbox patterns)
- Environments: on-prem, cloud, hybrid architectures with security/network constraints
- Experience with IWMS solutions (ARCHIBUS is a plus)
