With Sportsbetting being the DNA of the company and generating most of its revenue, Betclic is looking to strengthen its Sports Analytics team, responsible for delivering analytics touching the very heart of our business model: betting products, strategies and offers. Working directly with the sports team, your work and analysis will significantly contribute to improving our betting products, offers and strategies, while helping assess their impact on our players and overall business performance.
Your mission will be:
- Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their current and upcoming challenges
- Deliver insightful analyses with convincing and actionable recommendations that drive meaningful product improvements and tangible business impact
- Identify high-value opportunities to unlock business potential and support product and business decision-making
- Develop decision-making tools and analytical frameworks to support data-driven initiatives
- Collaborate closely with Data Product Managers, Data Scientists and Analytics peers to deliver impactful solutions
- Contribute to analytical best practices and help foster a strong data-driven culture across the organization
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work closely with product stakeholders and the Sports Data Product Owner to help shape analytical initiatives and support key business decisions. You will regularly interact with product teams and business stakeholders, bringing a strong analytical perspective to strategic discussions and helping teams make better data-informed decisions.
Some examples of recent projects:
- "Risk & liability" management data products to support trading teams
- Development of recommendation algorithms in close collaboration with Data Science team
- Product features performance analysis through state-of-the-art A/B testing
Requirements
Do you have experience in Tableau?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * You have a master degree in statistics / data analytics
- You have at least 3 years of Data Analytics experience during which you have consistently delivered relevant, actionable data-driven recommendations with measurable business impact
- You are "business minded" - you are able to make actionable and impactful recommendations
- You have a good analytical mindset, are rigorous, and synthetical
- You have great communication and presentation skills
- You are proficient in SQL & Python
- You are familiar with at least one Data visualization tool
- You are proactive, and want to grow and keep learning
- You are able to manage analytical projects independently and drive them from discovery to delivery
- You are agile and able to adapt to a fast pace environment

HIRING PROCESS
If your application is selected, you will be contacted by Joe to complete an online technical test, followed by a 30-minute HR pre-qualification
Next, you will have a technical interview via video call, covering SQL, Python, statistics, probability, analytics, and business sense
You will then have one week to complete an analytical Use Case and an AssessFirst test (personality, motivations, and reasoning)
After that, you will visit us in our offices to present your Use Case and meet Xavier - Senior Data Analytics Manager (your future manager), Iouri - Chief Data Officer, and a business stakeholder
During your visit to Bordeaux, you will also have a final HR interview, including a debrief on your AssessFirst test
In order to provide an optimal applicant experience, the overall hiring process at Betclic lasts 4 to 6 weeks.
