Job description
In this role, you will be responsible for improving equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across all plant assets. You will play a critical part in developing and implementing robust maintenance strategies, strengthening asset data integrity, and enhancing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)., * Develop and implement Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) strategies across all assets
- Analyse equipment failures and downtime trends to identify recurring issues
- Lead reliability improvement and continuous improvement projects
- Develop and enhance Preventive (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programmes
- Support the implementation of condition monitoring techniques (vibration, thermography, lubrication, ultrasound)
- Maintain and improve the site breakdown logging system
- Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA / RCA) investigations for major and recurring failures
- Analyse maintenance KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, and downtime trends
- Produce weekly and monthly reliability performance reports
- Develop and maintain the site asset register within the CMMS
- Conduct and maintain asset criticality assessments to prioritise maintenance activity
- Lead FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis) studies for key systems
- Improve CMMS data quality, planning, and scheduling accuracy
- Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across production lines
- Support spare parts optimisation and inventory control strategies
- Align spare parts strategy with PM and failure modes analysis
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards and procedures
Requirements
Do you have experience in Maintenance?, * You must have an Engineering Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent engineering background
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or processing environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical engineering principles and industrial processes
- Experience in RCFA, FMECA, and maintenance planning/scheduling
- Familiarity with condition monitoring techniques (vibration, thermography, lubrication analysis, ultrasound)
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Experience working with CMMS systems and maintenance data analysis
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels
- Experience in OEE improvement or Lean/TPM environments is highly desirable
- Supervisory or operational leadership experience is an advantage
- Willingness to travel when required to support knowledge sharing across sites
